Something New Is Coming: Our First Colombia ADV Tour

A New Chapter for Sivlik ADV

For years, riders have asked when we would expand beyond the Southwest. I am excited to share that we now have the chance to do something no one else in the U.S. ADV community has done. This coming April, we will launch our first international motorcycle tour in the coffee region of Colombia.

This is not just another ride on the calendar. It is the start of a partnership that opens up a new corner of the world for adventure riders who want a guided experience that balances culture, terrain, and confidence-building.

Why Colombia

Colombia has been a dream for many riders, but few know how accessible it really is. The Andes rise thousands of feet, offering paved switchbacks and dirt climbs that test skill without overwhelming it. Coffee farms line the hillsides. Wax palm forests stretch skyward. The route we will ride crosses rivers, skirts volcanoes, and takes us through colonial towns where history and hospitality go hand in hand.

Riding here means you see Colombia from the inside out. Not just as a tourist, but as a traveler welcomed into a culture that values connection and respect. That spirit matches what Sivlik ADV has always been about.

What the Tour Looks Like

The Colombia Coffee ADV Tour is scheduled for April 11–18, 2026, beginning and ending in Medellín. Over eight days, we will cover roughly 1,200 kilometers on both paved and unpaved roads. Daily mileage runs between 160 and 320 kilometers, with one rest day to relax and take in the sights.

The tour is designed for a small group. We will cap it at eight riders total to keep the experience safe and personal. Each rider will choose a Ducati DesertX or Multistrada, with a support vehicle carrying luggage so the focus stays on the ride.

Highlights include:

  • Crossing the central mountain range of the Colombian Andes
  • Riding past Nevado del Ruiz, an active volcano
  • Experiencing natural hot springs and crystal-clear rivers
  • Exploring wax palm forests and the Los Nevados National Park
  • Visiting colonial towns rich with history and culture

What’s Included

This is a guided adventure with the details handled. Riders will have airport transfers, hotel stays, motorcycle rental, luggage support, and daily guidance. The group will also receive a welcome kit and a few souvenirs along the way. The priority is safety, quality, and an unforgettable experience.

Why This Tour Matters

ADV riding has often centered on Europe or domestic routes like the BDRs. Colombia brings something different. It is both rugged and refined. It allows riders to step outside the familiar and push their boundaries in a place that is safe, supported, and inspiring.

For me, this tour is also personal. It represents growth for Sivlik ADV, showing that riders who start with us in Arizona can take those same skills to new landscapes. It proves that adventure can stretch farther than the desert, without losing the calm and connection that define our approach.

Looking Ahead

This first Colombia tour is limited. With only eight riders, the waitlist will fill quickly. We will release more details in the months ahead, but for now, I invite you to consider what it would mean to explore South America with us.

This is the beginning of something new. A chance to carry the spirit of Sivlik ADV across borders and into landscapes that few ADV groups from the U.S. have touched.
